For 16 years the Sarah Carlisle Towery Art Colony has been providing a retreat on the beautiful shores of Lake Martin for artists to develop their skills with professional instructors and respected artists.

The Sarah Carlisle Towery Art Colony Workshop on Lake Martin is just one aspect of the Alabama's best art colony. We will have the Kitty Dark Art Camp for Kids this year. The Kids Camp offers a very unique, intensive arts enrichment experience for children. The Arts Camp is normally held at Benjamin Russell High School in June. The Alabama's Art Colony permanent collection resides at the Alexander City Board of Education. The Board of Education is open to the public from Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM.
