The Kitty Dark Kids Arts Camp - June 4 - 8, 2007  

The Sarah Carlisle Towery Art Colony, Alexander City Board of Education, and Dark Family Partners are pleased to offer a very unique, intensive arts enrichment experience for your children.  Your support of the Kids Arts Camp will be greatly appreciated and we anticipate this experience to be very enjoyable for your children.  The following information will help you and your child prepare for the Arts Camp: 

Where and When: The Arts Camp will be held at Benjamin Russell High School from June 4th until June 8^th.  The Arts Camp is open to children entering the first grade through exiting the sixth grade.  It will begin promptly each morning at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 3:00 p.m. each day.  

Classes: There will be five areas of instruction available: Mixed Media, Drama/Music, Mosaics,Drawing/Painting, and Creative Movement.  The instructors are certified teachers and/or professional artists in their fields. 

Clothing: Comfort is the key word when deciding what to wear.  Our camp is informal and shorts, T-shirts and tennis shoes are considered acceptable attire.  Shoes must be worn at all times during the Camp. Sandals are not functional during dance class so try to wear tennis shoes.

Lunch: Lunch will be provided for all students.  A snack will also be provided each day. 

Name Tags: Every student will be required to wear nametags each day.  Students are to leave their nametags with their instructor at the close of the Arts Camp each day. 

Check In and Check Out: Students must check in and check out at the registration table each day.  Parents or guardians who choose to check their child out for any reason during the day, upon their return (same day) must accompany their child back in the building until your child has been officially checked in.  

 Art Auction:  The Art Auction for The Kids Arts Camp will be Friday, June 8th at 1:00 a.m. at Benjamin Russell High School. 

Tuition: Tuition for The Kids Arts College is $125 per child.  

How to Register: Complete the printable registration form, make check payable to SCT Art Colony, and mail both the registration form and check to:   The Kitty Dark Kids Arts Camp · P.O. Box 204 · Alexander City, Alabama 35011    Registration forms can also be picked up at Dark Insurance.
